The shareholders of EADS have appointed two new members of the Board of Directors. At the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Amsterdam on 6 May, Rüdiger Grube and François David were elected to the Board of EADS, which consists of eleven executive and non-executive directors. They have replaced Eckhard Cordes and Jean-René Fourtou with immediate effect.
Rüdiger Grube is member of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler AG in charge of corporate development since 2002. François David is Chairman and CEO of Coface, an international credit insurance and credit management service provider since 1994.
EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defence and releated services. In 2003 EADS, generated revenues of € 30.1 billion. The EADS Group includes the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the world's largest helicopter supplier Eurocopter and the joint venture MBDA, the second largest missile producer in the global market. EADS is the major partner in the Eurofighter consortium, is the prime contractor for the Ariane launcher, develops the A400M military transport aircraft and is the largest industrial partner for the European satellite navigation system Galileo.
