EADS Socata announces two key management appointments

  • Nicolas Chabbert becomes EADS Socata VP of Sales and Marketing and Raphael Maitre appointed as VP of Customer Service

EADS Socata has named Nicolas Chabbert as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Mr. Chabbert will have worldwide responsibility for EADS Socata’s sales and marketing activities and will report directly to EADS Socata’s Chairman and CEO, Stéphane Mayer. His team will include Michel Adam de Villiers, VP of Sales for the Americas & Oceania, Marc Le Stunff, Deputy VP of Sales for Europe, Asia and Africa, Andrew Knott, VP of Worldwide Marketing as well as Patrice Jeanmichel who is responsible for EADS Socata’s military activities and Philippe, Laforest, sales administration.

Mr. Chabbert has spent 9 of his 15 years of general aviation industry experience with EADS Socata, including 5 years as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Socata Aircraft Inc, (EADS Socata’s US division). After holding senior sales, marketing and customer service positions at Mooney Aircraft, he returned to EADS Socata in 2005 as Vice President of Customer Service.

“Nicolas Chabbert is well-known in the world of General Aviation for his extensive experience, particularly in sales, marketing and customer support. Nicolas was responsible for much of the initial sales success of the TBM family, and his expertise and knowledge will further sharpen EADS Socata’s customer focus and advance our market position worldwide”, said Stephane Mayer, Chairman and CEO of EADS Socata.

Mr. Chabbert holds an ATP and flying instructors ratings and has extensive TBM flight experience. He is a graduate of business school ESLSCA in Paris and holds a masters degree in International business.

Raphaël Maître, previously Deputy Vice-President Customer Service of EADS Socata, is promoted to the position of Vice-President Customer Service. In his new position, he will report to Jacques Lordon EADS Socata’s Vice-President of General Aviation and will assume responsibility for all EADS Socata customer care activities worldwide. Bruno Mandon, VP of Customer Support for the Americas will report to Mr Maître.

Mr. Maître, 36, is a highly-skilled aviation engineer and is a graduate of ENSAM – “Arts et Métiers”, one of the oldest French engineering schools.

EADS Socata is committed to provide the highest level of customer service worldwide and to continue expanding the sales of the TBM 850 and Raphaël and his worldwide team will be a key component in that success” commented Nicolas Chabbert.
