Northwest Aircraft, Socata’s new distributor and service center

  • Socata Aircraft signs agreement with premier aircraft distributor.

Lakeland, FL, 04 April 2006

Socata Aircraft, Inc., the US subsidiary of EADS Socata, announced today that Northwest Aircraft, a division of Intermountain Air will become Socata’s aircraft distributor and service center for the states of Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon. As an Authorized Piper Distributor, Intermountain Air has been selling and servicing business aircraft for more than 35 years.

Bill Haberstock, President of Northwest Aircraft stated, “We are one of the most successful aircraft distributors in the country and we are happy to add the Socata TBM 850 to our offerings. The TBM 850 is a logical extension to our existing products and we are sure it will be seen as a great choice for our customers wanting to step up to the capabilities of a light jet but at the operating costs of a single-engined turboprop”.

“Socata prides itself on its TBM distribution network which is composed of some of the finest companies in aircraft sales and support worldwide” said Nicolas Chabbert, EADS Socata’s VP of Sales and Marketing. “We are extremely happy to welcome Northwest Aircraft to the network. Our distribution network has been an important part of the success of the TBM family and the addition of a well established and successful distribution partner in the Pacific Northwest will further add to the success of the TBM 850 which has already seen extremely rapid market acceptance”.

The Socata Aircraft TBM distribution network consists of New Avex Inc (CA, CO, AZ, NM, NV, UT), Cutter Aviation (TX, OK, KS, MO, AR, LA), Muncie Aviation Company (OH, IN, WI, MI, IL), Columbia Aircraft Sales (NY, ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NJ, MD, DE, PA, VA, WV, KY and Eastern Canada), Elliott Aviation (MN, IA, ND, SD, NE) and now Intermountain Air (WY, MT, ID, WA, and OR), Sales to other areas of the Americas are handled via Socata Aircraft’s “factory direct” sales force.

Intermountain Air is a limited liability company which operates as a subsidiary of Keystone Aviation LLC, with corporate offices at their main facility in Salt Lake City. Keystone Aviation LLC also operates as Million Air Salt Lake City and Provo, providing a complete line of products and services for both general and commercial aviation.
