Scott Selle is Appointed the President of Fairchild Controls Corporation

Scott Selle has been named the president of EADS North America’s Fairchild Controls Corp. subsidiary, which develops, produces and supports power conversion and control electronics, environmental control systems and turbo-machinery for military and commercial customers worldwide.
Selle will oversee all strategy and business operations, and also is a member of the Frederick, Maryland-based company’s board of directors.
“Scott brings significant expertise in supply chain management, aftermarket services and quality assurance – all of which are important as Fairchild Controls expands its business for mission-critical systems on military aircraft and vehicles, as well as for the world’s leading commercial airliners,” said Ralph D. Crosby, Jr., Chairman and CEO of EADS North America.
Selle comes to Fairchild Controls from Honeywell, where he most recently was the Director of Component Aftermarket Services for Honeywell Aerospace – with integrated supply chain leadership responsibility for seven facilities in the United States and Canada.
His other positions included the General Manager of Honeywell’s heat transfer and electronic power aftermarket business in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and plant manager for the company’s Anniston, Alabama manufacturing facility, providing components for the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. Additionally, Selle had a leadership role in the Honeywell Aerospace Global Sourcing and Quality Assurance organizations during his tenure from 1995 through June 2006.
Prior to his aerospace industry career, Selle served as a submarine officer in the United States Navy in San Diego, California, and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, achieving the rank of lieutenant. While in the Navy he also held a position as a training director for cruise missile and submarine tactics on the staff of the Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet Training Command.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State. Selle also has been certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds various professional certificates in quality assurance, business management, and lean manufacturing.
