EADS North America Defense announces the appointment of David J. Schramm as President and Chief Executive Officer of EADS North America Defense Test and Services. Mr. Schramm replaces Gordon Taylor who will be retiring.
Mr. Schramm was previously President and CEO of Arrowhead Products in Los Alamitos, California, a manufacturer of titanium, inconel, stainless steel, and elastomeric products for the aerospace industry.
Before that, he was President and CEO of Packard Hughes Interconnect of Irvine, CA, a subsidiary of Delphi Corporation, culminating 30 years of progressively responsible engineering and management positions with General Motors and Delphi in the US and Europe.
“We are excited to have an executive of David’s caliber to lead our North American expansion efforts in test and measurement systems in the defense and commercial markets,” remarked John Young, President and Chief Executive Officer of EADS North America Defense while making the announcement. “His strong operational leadership and international management experience will be an ideal complement to the technical capabilities of our Test & Services unit.”
Mr. Schramm is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of California at Irvine and for the California State University at Fullerton and serves as Vice Chair of Development for the Orange County Performing Arts Board of Directors.
Mr. Schramm graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and earned a master’s degree in management as a Sloan Fellow at Stanford University.
