Enhancing TETRA with other systems

EADS TETRA can be integrated with external systems.

The EADS TETRA System is easily integrated with external systems, thanks to the wide range of interconnectivity products:

  • EADS TETRA Connectivity Server, TCS. This is an interface for connecting customer-specific applications to the EADS TETRA system. Its Application Programming Interface (API) is a secure and cost-effective way to connect applications to the EADS TETRA system.
  • LAN/WAN interfaces
  • GGSN for building mobile Internet/Intranet access. The platform uses the same mechanisms that are used for mobile users in GPRS/3G networks. With TETRA, only the GGSN is needed as the signaling endpoints are terminated in TETRA exchanges. This means that no SGSNs are needed.
  • PSTN/PABX interconnection
  • Interface to analogue radio systems (G4WIF)
  • Interfaces to billing systems
