EADS Military Air Systems (MAS) incorporates all EADS capacities and capabilities required for the development, construction, integration and production of airborne military systems. MAS also offers training services and extensive support, in facilities shared jointly with the customer, throughout the in-service phase.

These services are offered for high-performance combat aircraft, manned mission aircraft, trainers, unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) and the related ground infrastructures. Here MAS acts as systems company for the German and Spanish Air Forces and also for other customers.

The largest programme within EADS Military Air Systems is Eurofighter. MAS is responsible for the design and production of the centre fuselage section, the right wing and the flight control system of all aircraft. A further responsibility of the company lies in the final assembly of the 180 German and 87 Spanish Eurofighters.

Another important project is the Advanced UAV Demonstrator. EADS Military Air Systems is also participating in the joint European Technology Acquisition Program (ETAP). In addition, a High-Energy Advanced Trainer (HEAT) has been defined. EADS Military Air Systems is responsible for major national and international programs, including EuroHawk and an innovative trilateral UAV project.

MAS offers technical and logistic support and in some cases extensive system support and upgrade services for a wide variety of aircraft types such as the F-18 Hornet, F5-B Tiger, Tornado, F-4 Phantom, AV-8B Harrier,Mirage F-1, C-130 Hercules, Transall C-160, Breguet Atlantic, P-3 Orion and E-3A AWACS.
