AV-8B Harrier
The Spanish Navy operates the AV-8B Harrier, a single-engine combat aircraft which is used for close air support and reconnaissance missions. There are single- and twin-seater versions of the aircraft, which possesses V/STOL (Vertical/Short Take Off and Landing) capabilities.

In addition to the scheduled maintenance, a programme is being implemented to upgrade the EAV-8B Harrier to the AV-8B Plus. It comprises the installation of state-of-the-art avionics, new navigation and communications systems and a radar. Modifications are also being made to the aircraft structure and armaments.
