European Cooperation

This aircraft is the ideal solution for the defence tasks of modern air forces: it is completely interoperable and is designed for network centric operations. Through cooperation offered to other nations that goes beyond offset business and programme participation, Eurofighter is strengthening industrial integration in Europe. This can be seen in the export contract concluded with Austria for the procurement of Eurofighter aircraft, which involves offset business to the benefit of both sides. Being a European joint programme, Eurofighter is also making a major contribution to increasing Europe's competitiveness in the high-tech global aerospace market.

The Eurofighter programme is steered by the NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA), which acts on behalf of the participating nations. The counterpart on the industrial side is Eurofighter GmbH, the joint undertaking of the partner companies involved. This company coordinates the technical, commercial, production- and supplier-related activities associated with ongoing contracts as well as taking care of export matters. In the non-European markets, the aircraft is marketed under the name Eurofighter Typhoon.Workshares:
