Test Resource Manager TRM (EADS TEST & SERVICES)

The TRM's main capabilities are:

simple instruments driver call interface,
-
easy management of the ATE's switching system,
-
ATE configuration management:
-
adding new devices,
-
device replacement,
-
updating device address,
-
-
simulation mode when the ATE is not available.
The Test Resource Manager TRM is used for two purposes:

at TPS runtime (called RUNTIME TRM), to manage instruments driver calls from the TPS,

for ATE configuration management (called TRM TOOLS):
-
integration of a new resource,
-
building, modifying and/or generating the ATE configuration.

Switching capabilities with the TRM:
The TRM provides a simple interface to standardize the calls to the ATE's switching system.
This interface mainly features:
-
Two main sections:
-
a configuration file that contains all test unit adapter routing data,
-
a set of library functions to load that data and apply or remove connections,
-
-
Because all TUA wiring information is contained in a separate file and not compiled into the test application code, it can be created and maintained separately.

Relay use is referenced and counted, ensuring that if multiple connections share a single relay, this relay remains closed until the last connection is removed.
