Méaulte in France is one of four sites comprising the centre of excellence in nose and centre fuselage. It is responsible for the assembly of the high-tech nose sections, including the cockpit, and fuselage sub-assemblies; and the machining of light alloy parts such as the cockpit window frame and cargo door lock fittings. Méaulte has a flexible workshop, equipped to adapt rapidly to different fuselage diameters, and therefore different aircraft families. Mechanical parts manufactured at Méaulte are delivered to production sites in France while the nose sections are delivered to Saint-Nazaire, also part of this centre of excellence.
