The management headquarters of Airbus Deutschland is located at Hamburg. In addition, the programme management for the single-aisle models (A318, A319, A320, A321) is based here. Here, at the second final assembly centre after Toulouse, the single-aisle A318, A319 and A321 aircraft undergo final assembly before being delivered to customers all over the world. In addition, design and development are carried out in Hamburg; the national product managers of the individual Airbus programmes and customer service also have their offices here. Fuselage assembly for all Airbus aircraft takes place here, along with equipping with all flight-essential systems such as electrics, electronics, hydraulics, air conditioning and water. The Cabin and Cargo Customisation Centre of Excellence (CoE) is located in Hamburg and the Forward and Aft Fuselage CoE is managed from this location. In addition, the company has extensive test facilities for static and dynamic testing. Other facilities at the Hamburg site are the Training Centre of Airbus Deutschland and the Maintenance Training Centre for Single-Aisle Aircraft. For the Airbus A380 widebody aircraft, a large part of the development, construction, assembly and equipping of the complete fuselage sections, complete equipping of the interior, application of the paintwork, final acceptance and delivery to customers in Europe and the Middle East takes place in Hamburg.

Airbus Spares Support and Services (Airbus Spares) is an organisational unit of Airbus SAS that employs a workforce of about 400 and acts on behalf of Airbus to secure worldwide spare parts supply for the Airbus fleet.

Airbus Spares is located directly on-site at Hamburg Airport, where it has a storage surface of over 30,000 m2 with approx. 2.5 million spares in stock, ranging from small parts to vertical tailplanes. To ensure a global presence, Airbus Spares operates satellite stores in Frankfurt, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Washington. The point of contact for Airbus customers throughout the world is Hamburg, while Washington is specifically responsible for the American market.

Flexibility, speed and highly rational procurement and delivery are features of the Aircraft-on-Ground Service (AoG), which is available to Airbus customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, Airbus Spares Support and Services offers modular, tailored services (“Airbus Modular Spares Services”) in order to help airlines and maintenance centres to optimise their work processes.
