The Nordenham plant is the centre for large sheet metal panel manufacture and fuselage shell manufacture for all Airbus aircraft. State-of-the-art and automated manufacturing technologies have made it possible to reduce production costs considerably. A new 208 m long and 78 m wide hall has been specially built for production of the large fuselage shells for the double-deck Airbus A380. Other focal points are roll forming, laser welding and metal bonding for all Airbus models. Complex structural components for the Eurofighter are also manufactured here.
