Eurocopter and Helitrans sign a contract for the acquisition of 10 helicopters

Le Bourget, PARIS AIRSHOW 2007, 19 June 2007

Eurocopter and the helicopter operator from Andorra, Helitrans, represented by Mr. Bonaventura Mora Sagués, General Manager of the company, have signed today during the Le Bourget Airshow, a contract for 10 helicopters. The contract covers the acquisition of 5 EC 130 B4 and 5 AS 350 B3, both belonging to the Ecureuil family. The contract has a value of more than 18,5 Mio €, one of the biggest contracts signed in Spain in the private market so far. The aircraft will be delivered over a five year period.

One of the keys of the Eurocopter success is its wide range of products, which allows each user, civil or military, to choose the most adapted helicopter for their mission. The EC 130 B4 is the most modern single engine helicopter of the Ecureuil family and the quietest of its category. The EC 130 B4 is able to transport up to 7 passengers or a workload of 1.160 Kg. The AS 350 B3 is a light single engine helicopter with high performances, suited for operation in extreme altitude and temperature conditions, and a huge load capacity. It is also an excellent helicopter for passenger transport, quick and comfortable.

With its headquarters in Andorra, Helitrans, is a company belonging to the Spin Group and operates only Eurocopter helicopters: the AS350 B2 and the AS350 B3 in its “Sherpa“ version. This company is specialized in utility missions (aerial work) and tourist flights.
