Airbus and its parent company EADS are supporting a prestigious and ground-breaking exhibition of Egyptian antiquities, joining fellow sponsor Hilti Corporation in bringing these valued treasures to wider and appreciative audiences in Berlin and Paris. Airbus donated the use of one of its A300-600 ST "Beluga" transport aircraft to fly the artefacts from the Egyptian city of Alexandria to Berlin/Germany and then on to Paris/France. By supporting the exhibition, EADS wishes to make a contribution to the cultural life in the European capitals Berlin and Paris. As an innovative, socially and culturally committed company, EADS owes its greatness to the enquiring minds and urge for discovery of its pioneers. This fact makes EADS the ideal partner for Franck Goddio’s “Egypt’s Sunken Treasures” as the exhibition is only possible thanks to Goddio’s spirit of discovery and research in combination with the use of innovative technologies.
