EADS EFW

Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) in Dresden is a 100% subsidiary and business unit of EADS. Within EADS, EFW is the centre of competence for the conversion of Airbus passenger aircraft into freighters (A300 & A310 widebody aircraft) and the associated maintenance. Up to 20 aircraft can be converted each year at EFW.

Up to 20 aircraft can be converted each year at EFW. By April 2005, EADS had delivered 125 converted Airbus aircraft to 26 customers, including package courier services, air-freight companies, aircraft hire companies, and government agencies throughout the world. EFW has airworthiness certificates from the USA, Europe and other countries required for the converted aircraft developed, produced and maintained in Dresden. After all structural and system components that are no longer required - such as seats or floor structures - have been removed from the aircraft, the new cargo kits are assembled. These exclusively comprise components authorized by Airbus (OEM Original Equipment Manufacturer).

EADS Socata

The newest member of Socata family of high performance pressurized turboprops - the TBM 850.  FAA certification was received in only 6 weeks following the EASA certification of the aircraft.Built on the success of the TBM 700, the TBM 850 offers its pilots and operators a maximum cruising speed of 320 KTAS at flight level 260 (in ISA conditions) combining the cruising speed of a light jet with the economic direct operating costs of a single-engined turboprop.
