EADS’ Revolutionary New Encryption Technology

Newport, Wales, 13  October  2006

EADS Defence and Security Systems Ltd has developed a new encryption technology, ECTOCRYP, which revolutionises the security and operation of communications networks.
Enabling secure, transparent, high speed voice and data transfer in real time along existing networks, ECTOCRYP has brought cryptography into the 21st century. Cost effective and robust communication that is secure to the highest UK standards is now a reality.

EADS Defence and Security has developed ECTOCRYP Black™, a high grade secure voice gateway, and ECTOCRYP Blue™, a High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE), on the same platform, drawing on over 20 years’ expertise in the development and provision of high grade security devices and communications solutions for military operations.

Currently EADS Defence and Security Systems is targeting both products at defence audiences primarily. However, ECTOCRYP will be applicable in civil environments such as banking and financial services, with the adjustment of some basic protocols.
