EADS North America increases its dedication to North American-focused management

EADS North America, a unit of EADS, one of the world’s leading defense and aerospace companies, announced on Monday the appointment of Mr. José Morales as the President and Chief Executive Officer of EADS CASA North America. EADS CASA is the Military Transport Aircraft Division (MTAD) of EADS that designs, manufactures and commercializes light and medium transport aircraft. Mr. Morales is currently EADS CASA North America’s Vice President of Military Transport Aircraft and Senior Representative for the Military Transport Aircraft Division at EADS North America’s Washington headquarters.
As President and CEO of EADS CASA North America, Morales will oversee all operations of EADS CASA in the United States. Morales recently played an important role in the winning bid to provide the U.S. Coast Guard with new EADS CASA CN-235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft. The CN-235, as part of the broader Coast Guard homeland security program, Deepwater, will be used to patrol and protect the coastal borders of the United States.

Prior to joining EADS CASA in the United States, Morales served in a series of positions with CASA globally, as the marketing manager of the CASA C-101 Advanced Trainer program and as the Strategic Marketing Manager for New Business Development.
During the 1990s, Morales served as the Vice President of CASA sales for the regions of Turkey, Australia and Korea. Morales was as a key contributor in securing the sale of a fleet of CN-235 aircraft to the South Korean Air Force.
Mr. Morales holds a masters degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Politechnical University of Madrid, as well as an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa of Madrid. Mr. Morales is also a private pilot and a certified glider instructor.
