EADS and M Torres Sign MoA for the Supply of Industrial Process Automation Equipment and Systems

At the Le Bourget Air Show, EADS and M Torres have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for production equipment & systems sourcing. EADS has launched a global sourcing strategy throughout the company and this agreement with M Torres will now form a part of that.
This EADS sourcing strategy aims to establish long-term relationships with suppliers who are keen to develop sustained, excellent performances and make continuously improving efforts to fulfil the market needs. It is tuned to particular internal customer requirements and applies to every Business Unit of EADS. It also facilitates the implementation of a closer, extended relationship – called the “Competitive Partnership” – between EADS and its top suppliers. The sourcing strategy comprises important aspects such as supplier evaluation and proactive development of performances and business along procurement policy targets and principles.
This new agreement between EADS and M Torres has as its ultimate objective the greater fulfilment of business requirements and it aims to achieve this through enhanced performances in the relationship between M Torres as a supplier and EADS as a customer. The resulting improvements form a foundation for attaining a so-called “Competitive Partnership” between EADS and M Torres in the production equipment & systems supply area, where the products involved will include automated assembly systems and composite manufacturing equipment.
M. Torres has realised a large amount of successful business with EADS, working on a number of programs for over a decade. The different aircraft manufacturing process solutions that M. Torres has provided for EADS during these past years are principally based on its own technology and capabilities, and joint development with EADS. Combining continuous effort and reinvestment of resources, this corporate philosophy ensures the future progress of the company and its customers.
