John Moore, Senior Vice President Commercial of ATR

Farnborough, 20 July 2004

On the occasion of the ATR press conference which took place at Farnborough on Tuesday 20 July 2004, Filippo Bagnato, ATR CEO, took the opportunity to introduce John Moore to journalists.

John Moore (47) has been appointed Senior Vice President Commercial by the ATR Board of Directors as of 1st June.

John Moore has held the position of President of ATR North America, Inc. since September 2000.

Prior to having responsibility for ATR’s U.S. organization, he was Vice President, Contracts and Negotiation with ATR.

He joined ATR in 1998 as a result of AI(R), the joint venture between ATR and British Aerospace, having previously been responsible for contracts at British Aerospace in both the Jetstream and Avro RJ divisions since 1990.

He started his career at Overseas Private Investment Corp., providing political risk insurance to U.S. firms investing in developing countries.

He has a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Masters in International Business from the American Graduate School of International Management.

John Moore replaces in this post Paolo Revelli-Beaumont who will take over new functions.

« I am very satisfied that at the moment I’m leaving ATR the efforts of the ATR commercial team start to give their fruits after a very difficult year in 2003. We have recorded 12 orders from the beginning of the year 2004 and 19 within the last seven months. This achievement is proof of the regional market recovery and the operators’ confidence in the ATR aircraft which should be further confirmed by additional orders in the course of this year”, commented Paolo Revelli-Beaumont.

Toulouse-based ATR is the world leader in the 50 to 70-seat turboprop market. ATR is an equal partnership between Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica group) and EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company).
