&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;London&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt; - 23rd March 2004  EUROSAMs SAAM (Surface to Air Anti-Missile) naval point and local self-defence system was successfully tested offshore at the Centre dEssais des Landes (CEL) near Biscarrosse on the South West coast of France. During the test an MBDA ASTER 15 missile was fired, making direct impact on a C22 target simulating an attacking aircraft. Significantly, the firing was carried out from the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) HMS Al Daman, an Al Riyadh (F3000S Sawari II) class, multi-purpose anti-air warfare frigate.</description>

MBDA was declared winner of the award at the 11th Aerospace Industry Awards ceremony and gala dinner held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Singapore during the Asian Aerospace Exhibition.</description>

The Greek Ministry of Defence has formalised the contract for MBDAs MICA air-to-air and Scalp EG / Storm Shadow long-range, stand off air-to-ground missile systems to equip the Hellenic Air Forces fleet of Mirage 2000-5 combat aircraft. This represents a second tranche of MICA missiles following an earlier order placed two years ago by the Greek authorities. The total number of MICA missiles now under order by Greece stands at 100 (including both the RF and IR variants of the missile). The air force has ordered a total of 34 Scalp EG / Storm Shadow missile systems.</description>
