All Nippon Airways made acceptance of a second ATEC Series 6 for the maintenance of their Boeing B777 fleet, in replacement of their former IRIS 7000 test system.

Following a preliminary acceptance, made at EADS TEST & SERVICES premises in Toulouse on March 1st, the new test station has been delivered to ANA’s maintenance workshop in Haneda airport, on March 31st. EADS TEST & SERVICES’ Field Service Engineer, Didier GARRIC, proceeded to its on-site installation and first running in the presence of Mr. TAKEUCHI, Test Equipment Control Manager for ANA Component Maintenance Center.

All Nippon Airways has been a long-standing ATEC Series 6 Customer and one of the first ATEC Users. Indeed, delivery of their first test bench and associated test programmes occurred in July 1995, for the support of their Airbus A320 and Boeing B777 fleets.

To date, EADS TEST & SERVICES has sold a total of 513 testers of the ATEC family – of which 273 ATEC Series 6 – throughout the world, to airlines, maintenance organizations and armed forces. The ATEC Series 6 has become the world leading tester for civil avionics in service with the majority of airlines. It will be used for Airbus A380 maintenance and will be the reference tool for the downloading of on board software on this new aircraft.

EADS TEST & SERVICES is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the EADS Group and is an integrated part of the EADS Defence & Security Systems Division (DS).
