EADS TELECOM gets a foothold in Asia with the opening of a new office in Hong Kong

EADS TELECOM today opens its new office in Hong Kong.
EADS TELECOM is the global centre of excellence of the EADS Group, European leader and world number two in Aeronautics, Defence and Space.
EADS TELECOM is a provider and integrator of secure, turnkey telecommunications solutions based on civilian technology for the global Defence, Public Safety and Civil markets.
EADS TELECOM is already present in 13 countries worldwide, mainly in Europe and also in the US, Canada and Mexico.
EADS TELECOM COO Patrick Jourdan described the decision to open the new office as "a logical step in view of EADS TELECOM's wish to extend its international presence, especially in Asia, where there is considerable commercial potential".
Until now, EADS TELECOM has sold its enterprise communication systems in Asia under the Mercator brand, via the distribution channels of Nortel Networks. The opening of the Hong Kong office will make it easier for EADS TELECOM to secure agreements with local distributors capable of offering and integrating its Connexity solutions for the Enterprise market.
EADS TELECOM will provide solutions drawing on its main areas of expertise: voice over IP, security, and Contact Centers.
A number of agreements have already been secured this year with distributors in The People's Republic of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
