The A320 family comprises four aircraft that share the same cockpit, fly with the same operating procedures, and have the same 3,96m wide cabin cross-section and systems. Consisting of the 107 seats A318, 124 seats A319, 150 seats A320 and 185 seats A321 - the A320 family is leader in the single-aisle jetliner with more than 3,700 aircraft sold worldwide. It offers maximum operational flexibility on short and medium-haul routes and lower operating costs that only a new-generation aircraft can offer; it is environmentally-friendly offering the lowest emissions and noise footprints in its class. Sharklets are around 2.5 metres tall and will replace the aircraft's current wingtip fence. Offered as an option on new-build aircraft, Sharklets have been specially designed for the Airbus A320 Family to reduce fuel burn by up to an additional 3.5 percent, corresponding to an annual CO2 reduction of around 700 tonnes per aircraft. This reduction is equivalent to the CO2 produced by around 200 cars annually. The wingtip devices will also enhance the aircraft's performance. The A320 is configured for 150 passengers in a two-class cabin layout or 164 in a single class, and has a range of up to 3,000 nm/5,550 km.
