AS532AL

The AS532AL is the long version of the Cougar family. It is fitted with two Turbomeca Makila 1A1 turboshaft engines and it can carry up to 25 commandoes, and can be equipped with pod-mounted cannons, rocket-launchers or side firing cannon. Technical characteristics: crashworthy design, reduced infra-red signature, low radar signature. Tactical transport addition to the crew = 1 chief of stick + 24 troops seats or 1 chief of stick + 18 crashworthy troop seats. In case of casualty evacuation: in addition to the crew, 1 doctor + 6 stretchers + 10 seated places. Missions: combat SAR/Fire support, search and rescue, logistic transport, battlefield surveillance. The AS532SC is the navalized version of the Cougar family. It is particularly suited for anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare. Technical characteristics: crashworthy design, low radar signature, shipborne suitability. Missions: maritime surveillance & S.A.R., anti-surface unit warfare, anti-submarine warfare, casualty evacuation - in addition to the crew: 1 doctor + 6 stretchers + 6 seated places -, logistic transport - external load carrying with sling, maximal capacity: 4,500kg/9,920lb.
