- Workshops on innovation and career opportunities within EADS

- EADS aims at recruiting more than 5,000 permanent employees and more than 4,000 interns in 2012.
Throwing a glance on future technologies, products, materials and learning more about career opportunities within the aerospace and defence group EADS: the EADS group and its four Divisions – Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter – invite experienced professionals, students and graduates to apply for one of their workshops at Farnborough Airshow (9- 15 July) or at ILA Berlin Air Show (11-16 September).
The focus will range from product-oriented topics – like Astrium’s Pioneering Satellite Missions “Bepi Colombo” and “Rosetta” and the “Development of the Helicopters of the Future” (Eurocopter) – to strategic challenges like the “Future Eurofighter Exports” (Cassidian) and career-oriented topics like the “Exciting Internship possibilities” at Airbus. In practical examples the candidates get to know a typical day in the life of a design engineer at Eurocopter and Airbus dedicates a workshop to the challenging profile of a Supply Chain Field Engineer, for instance.
EADS is a truly international company with 130 nationalities on board, committed to diversity. Therefore the company is organising diversity days in Farnborough (Thursday, 12 July) and in Berlin (Friday 14 September). EADS will also host the annual ceremony of Femtec, with 250 female engineering students from key universities in Berlin at the airshow, and will sign the charter of Women in Science and Engineering.
Both at Farnborough and Berlin, EADS will host dedicated Professional Days with tailor-made topics for experienced engineers (FIA: 14 July and ILA: 15 September). Special importance is given to profiles such as Radar and Stress Engineers as well as experts in the field of Industrial Processes, LEAN and Supply Chain.
Chantal Jonscher, Head of EADS Recruitment Center Germany, says: “The airshows are a fantastic opportunity for the candidates to explore the technical innovations and career opportunities within EADS and the four divisions in short time. This year we are going to make 5,000 permanent and 4,000 internship recruitments.”
