Astrium performs the 49th consecutive successful launch of Ariane 5
Flight 207 marks the 49th consecutive successful launch for the European launcher Ariane 5, for which Astrium is prime contractor

Ariane 5 has been successfully launched from Kourou in French Guiana for the 49th consecutive time, confirming once again the unparalleled reliability of the European launcher developed and manufactured by Astrium, the European space industry leader.
For Flight 207, the required performance was 9.640 kg in geostationary orbit, including 8.137 kg for the satellites – EchoStar XVII and MSG-3 – and the remaining weight for Astrium’s SYLDA dual launch system.
