CN 235 US Coast Guard

The CN-235 is a tactical transport aircraft developed by the MTA division of EADS. This family of products is composed of third aircraft: the CN-235 and its maritime patrol version called the CN-235 Persuader and HC-235. It designates the last generation Maritime Patrol aircraft, developed by the Military Transport Aircraft Division, based on both the CN-235 and the C-295 platforms. PERSUADER offers a cost-effective, sophisticated and versatile solution to the needs of the Maritime Patrol market; it performs any tactical operation, from Maritime Surveillance (picture: SASEMAR - Sociedad Estatal de Salvamento y Seguridad Marítima), Economic Exclusive Zone (EEZ) control, Search and Rescue (SAR), to more complex missions as Antisubmarine Warfare (ASW), Antisurface Warfare (ASuW), Electronic Warfare (EW) or Airborne Early Warning (AEW). The PERSUADER brings together the CN-235/C-295 platforms and the most advanced mission system, developed by EADS CASA.
