Partnership with ASF

EADS has a long term partnership with the European network of the Aviation Sans Frontières associations, and supports regularly their humanitarian projects.

ASF and EADS have a long-term partnership. The partnership has evolved naturally, as both EADS and ASF are committed in the world of aviation and are truly international. EADS is also supporting the association in terms of increased social commitment, recognising the responsibility of being a good corporate citizen.

The foundation of the German unit LOG in 2003 and the UK unit AWB in 2006 is based on the initiative of EADS. Now, ASF has units in all four home nations of EADS: France, Germany, Spain and the UK; as well as in the Netherlands, where LZG is co-supported by Dutch Space, an EADS subsidiary. All these five associations work with financial and material contributions from EADS.

In disastrous situations, the association and EADS are working together to provide help as fast as possible where it is desperately needed. EADS provides helicopters and Trans-hospitals, the Beluga delivers aeroplanes, while ASF collects money and goods (such as blankets, cots, tents and other materials). Thus, the association can efficiently organise the logistics and the distribution within the disaster areas.
