A major force of employment

Since EADS’ foundation, the Group has increased its total workforce by almost 50% — from around 89,000 in 2000 to more than 133,000 as of March 2012, having created well over 15,000 new high-tech jobs in Europe alone.

Just in 2011, EADS hired more than 5,000 new permanent employees, and in 2012 the company will recruit more than 9,000 employees in total, including more than 5,000 permanent recruitments.

As EADS employees tend to have high qualification levels and valuable skills, these jobs offer real value — for each new job created at EADS, research shows that another is created in a related industry.
