Airbus - Final Assembly Line

Brookley Aeroplex
Mobile, Alabama

Airbus’ first U.S.-based production facility will be built at the Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, for the final assembly of A319s, A320s and A321s. Planned for operation beginning in 2015, the site could employ as many as 1,000 high-skill workers, with a production rate of four aircraft monthly at its full rate.

The decision to create this new Mobile assembly line supports Airbus’ commitment to meeting demands of airlines around the globe for modern, fuel efficient aircraft, as well as the company’s strategy of increasing its global industrial footprint.
