EADS has taken its innovation to the front lines of cyber security with services from the Cyber Security Customer Solutions Centre (CSC), created by Cassidian and EADS Innovation Works. The Centre has a team of experts at locations in France, Germany, and the UK, working with a customer list that includes the French and British defence ministries, along with a growing number of corporations.
Services include security audits, providing protective technical solutions against cyber attacks, as well as advising customers on how to establish effective security policies and providing related training. The Centre also has the capability to perform 'forensic' work on information systems that have been attacked – investigating how the breach occurred and offering solutions to prevent another intrusion.
“Cyber security is a growing industry on both a public and private level,” says Eric Carpentier, Head of Platform & Training at CSC. “An increasing number of companies are taking it seriously as they are now fairly regularly facing attacks with measurable damages.”
The CSC devises both protective technical solutions against attacks as well as advising its customers on how to establish effective security policies and offering training in the area. “We offer cyber security simulation capabilities in order to efficiently measure attack impact and to train our customers and experts on cyber security challenges and the way to tackle them,” concludes Carpentier.
