Test engineers at Astrium work in a wide range of disciplines within the satellite and space transportation field, including amongst others; software and hardware, RF, thermal, materials, component, propulsion, AIT and verification and validation testing. They also have the opportunity to work on a wide range of missions, including Ariane 5, Skynet 5, Yahsat, ATV 1&2, Mars Express.

Test engineers at Cassidian work in a variety of areas including software and hardware, system, network, performance, avionics, radar and integration testing. Cassidian’s test engineers work on projects for air systems (aircraft and unmanned aerial systems), land and naval and joint systems, missiles, intelligence and surveillance, cyber security, secure communications and test systems.

Test engineers at Airbus work in a wide range of disciplines in systems engineering, structures engineering and flight test within the aircraft production. Specific work elements include but are not limited to: planning, developing and conducting tests on aeronautical systems, mechanisms, equipments, aircrafts and other components; applying knowledge and principles of testing methodology, procedures and aeronautical engineering; developing software or hardware to conduct tests on aeronautical products and systems.
