The Hamburg plant delivers three A380 fuselage sections: the forward section behind the cockpit, the rear fuselage section, and the upper half of the fuselage shell above the wings which is transported to St Nazaire for further assembly. As part of the final assembly activities, the foundation stone for the A380 equipment hall was officially laid on 7th May 2004 at the Airbus plant in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. The A320 Family comprises four aircraft that share the same cockpit, fly with the same operating procedures, and have the same 3,96m wide cabin cross-section and systems. Consisting of the 107-seat A318, 124-seat A319, 150-seat A320 and 185-seat A321 - the A320 Family is leader in the single-aisle jetliner with more than 3,700 aircraft sold worldwide. It offers maximum operational flexibility on short- and medium-haul routes and lower operating costs that only a new-generation aircraft can offer, it is environmentally-friendly offering the lowest emissions and noise footprints in its class. The A318 retains all of the A320 Family's advantages while providing highly efficient operations in the 100-seat airliner category. With an overall length of 31.44 metres (103 ft. 2 in.), the A318 has the shortest fuselage of the A320 product line. The A318 seats 107 passengers in a typical two-class cabin layout.
