MICA on Mirage 2000

The MICA (Missile d'Interception, de Combat et d'Autodefense - Dogfight/Self-Defence/Interception Missile) is the first multi-target multi-mission air-to-air missile capable of interception missions beyond visual range and close up dogfight combat. It is multi-target since it is fully autonomous after firing so that the pilot can engage several targets simultaneously, while maintaining maximum efficiency within an electronic warfare environment and with saturation jamming. These elements give it a very good cost/efficiency ratio compared with existing specialized missiles.
