EADS’ 2012 technology licensing outreach comes to the U.S.

30 May 2012

The EADS Technology Licensing Initiative’s 2012 U.S. market outreach has attracted broad industry interest for its two days of meetings and briefings to be held next week in Dayton, Ohio.

Some 20 companies have confirmed their attendance for this 4-5 June event at the Wright Brothers Institute, which begins with an overview of EADS and the capabilities made available through the company’s technology licensing strategy.

The briefing will be followed by one-on-one meetings with prospective licensees, allowing opportunities to be explored across a full spectrum of EADS technologies approved for licensing, ranging from aerospace, security and defense to automotive/transportation, manufacturing, and renewable energy. These technologies come from across EADS’ divisions and operations, including expertise from Airbus, Cassidian and the company’s research and technology organization, EADS Innovation Works.

Peter Westphal, the Senior Manager for Technology Licensing & Intellectual Property at EADS, said interest already expressed by confirmed attendees at the U.S. market outreach has focused on such domains as modeling and simulation, electronics, security screening and detection, production technologies and materials science.

The two-day meeting has been arranged with assistance of the company’s Corporate Technology Office and the EADS North America operation, and is supported by the Wright Brothers Institute and the Dayton Development Coalition.
