EADS technology licensing showcased in publication

3 September 2010

The current issue of Intellectual Asset Management magazine has put the spotlight on EADS’ Technology Licensing initiative with an article detailing its extensive patent portfolio, industry targets and key agreements to date.

The in-depth six-page spread focuses primarily on the initiative’s genesis and organisational structure, along with its subsequent roll-out in 2009. Since then, the EADS Technology Licensing initiative has demonstrated the growing momentum of its industry outreach.

The feature story covering EADS’ Technology Licensing initiative was published in the September/October 2010 edition of Intellectual Asset Management magazine, which examines strategies for maximizing the value of intellectual property.

The initiative’s success was underscored with a high-profile presence at the 2010 ILA Berlin Airshow – during which the licensing team secured a total of eight agreements. All were for the use of EADS technologies, which cover a wide range of capabilities.

Going beyond the initiative’s strong focus on the aerospace industry, there is great potential in other sectors – particularly the automotive and wind turbine industries.

Leading the contributors for this feature was Wulf Hoeflich, the Chief Intellectual Property Officer for EADS and leader of the EADS Technology Licensing initiative – who was joined by executives of the two intellectual property support groups that are working with EADS: CEO Edelbert Haefele and Chief Operating Officer Michael Beyer of PATEV; and Avenium Consulting president Patrick Pierre.
