Opportunities for expanding EADS’ relationships with the global supply chain and generating new business through the company’s technology licensing activities were highlighted to an internal audience of engineers, researchers and developers at the EADS Innovation Fair in Germany this week.
Representatives of the EADS Technology Licensing initiative team were on hand during the two-day event – held at Airbus’ Finkenwerder jetliner production facility near Hamburg – to interact with hundreds of employees attending the Innovation Fair from EADS divisions and operations around the world.

“This was an excellent occasion to meet directly with those who are responsible for innovation at EADS, and to explain how we can work together in selecting technologies that can be made available to outside companies,” said Wulf Hoeflich, who heads the EADS Technology Licensing initiative. “We provided examples of how EADS technologies can be successfully applied in many areas, with our focus on the commercial and business aviation, environmental applications and ground transportation.”
The 2011 Innovation Fair was organised by the EADS Corporate Technical Office, which also oversees the company’s Technology Licensing initiative, and it marked the second time this international event was held.
