EADS technology licensing opportunities for Indian companies will be highlighted during a high-level outreach at the country’s high-tech city of Bangalore in the month of May.
A series of seminars and meetings to promote the advantages of integrating EADS-developed and industrialized technologies in Indian companies’ product portfolios – particularly for the wind energy, aerospace and surface transportation sectors – are being organised at the Bangalore engineering centre of EADS’ Airbus division.
Audiences for the EADS Technology Licensing initiative’s outreach, which is planned for 9-11 May, include key companies in these targeted industries, as well as Indian industrial-sector associations and organisations.
“This is our first step into the Indian market for technology licensing, and the action is aligned with EADS’ global strategy of further increasing its business footprint and presence in India,” said Wulf Hoeflich, who leads the EADS Technology Licensing initiative. “During our meetings, we will be emphasising how Indian companies can benefit from integrating EADS-developed and industrialized technologies in their product portfolios in terms of lower development risk, reduced time-to-market, and cost savings on future product applications.”
Leading-edge capabilities offered through EADS licensing arrangements that are of potential interest to Indian companies include composite and metallic technologies, along with their related manufacturing methods and techniques; communications infrastructure; wind energy and other green technologies; aircraft cabin systems and infrastructure; as well as homeland security and safety-related technologies.
