A full range of technology licensing opportunities
The EADS Technology Licensing initiative provides access to the patent portfolios of all EADS business units and divisions, offering technologies and processes that are fully vetted and approved for external use.
Airbus has a large and diversified portfolio from its airliner and military airlifter product lines, including the Avionics Full DupleX Switched Ethernet (AFDX®), composites repair methods, and a concept for Halon-free fire extinguishers. Technologies from EADS’ Eurocopter helicopter manufacturer include the First Limit Indicator, which provides intelligent sensing of an aircraft’s engine parameters.
The EADS Innovation Works global network of EADS corporate research facilities offers technologies that range from new alloys and welding processes to surface protection. Its collaboration with the Cassidian defence and security business unit led to development of the Vacuum Assisted Process (VAP®) for out-of-autoclave production of composite parts and components. Daylight holographic display technologies are available from the expertise of Cassidian, EADS Innovation Works and Airbus.
