EADS TEST & SERVICES leads the world in commercial avionics test systems. Already present worldwide with their civil and military equipment testers, EADS TEST & SERVICES is consolidating their development strategy on the international stage with new locations in France, Germany, Spain, the UK and the United States, as well as a global distribution network.
Their present international expansion is in line with their historical development. For the last forty years (1) the company has developed unmatched expertise in tests, achieving an industry-wide reputation in both the aviation and defence sectors.
With some 1,100 staff worldwide, in fiscal 2005 EADS TEST & SERVICES’ activities generated revenues of €203 million.

Having strengthened their presence on the Asian and American markets, EADS TEST & SERVICES now runs a logistics centre on each continent and relies on an international sales and support network, ensuring ever closer proximity services to customers.
EADS TEST & SERVICES has always fostered close co-operations with their customers, whether airlines, aircraft manufacturers, aeronautical and defence equipment constructors (OEMs), armed forces or maintenance companies.
Over the last few years the firm has initiated several partnerships with local companies, thus extending its presence to a number of domestic defence markets such as Asia and Turkey.
The company extends its existing production and maintenance testers to cover all stages of a system’s life cycle: upstream with integration test benches and downstream with long term maintenance and life extension services that also address other industries such as space, transport, energy and nuclear power.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Defence and Security Systems Division of EADS Group, EADS TEST & SERVICES works at the very heart of the construction of a rationalised European Defence industry.
To encourage European countries to harmonise their test systems, the company has pioneered interoperable test solutions for the new European programmes. EADS TEST & SERVICES’ ambition is to create a pan-European standard for defence test systems, just as they have in the civil market with their ATEC range of testers that have become the world reference for civil avionics testing.

The first EADS TEST & SERVICES test benches came out in the 1970s with the ATEC (Automatic Test Equipment for Concorde) intended for the maintenance of Concorde avionics; and the SESAME bench designed to test airborne equipment on the Mirage fighter and on military helicopters.
