Our involvement in Aerospace and Aviation associations

Euroavia

EUROAVIA is the European Association of Aerospace Students. It was founded in 1959 and is present in 30 cities throughout 19 European countries, with a total of about 1000 members.
In November 2003, EADS was the official partner of the “Euroavia Formation Workshop” in which 35 participants from various European Aerospace universities discussed topics such as cooperation in the Aerospace industry in Europe.
A group of students also took advantage of the opportunity to visit the EADS Military Aircraft facilities in Augsburg, Germany and to discover some of the components which will make up the A380.

Jubijuist - flight training centre

Jubijuist is a flight learning center located on the Island of Juist in Germany. Since 1964, EADS and its founder companies have been major sponsors, contributing to the maintenance and financial support of the learning center.
EADS trainees and members of the EADS Juniors programme were able to benefit from the center’s expertise in training young people and developing their competence. Flying gliders was just one of the experiences on offer.

VDP – Vereinigung Deutscher Pilotinnen - Association of German female pilots

Since 1968, VDP (Vereiningung Deutscher Pilotinnen) has been promoting women’s achievements in the field of aviation and aeronautics. VDP has established itself as a first-choice partner for EADS when it comes to re-thinking the role women play in the aerospace industry.
