Infantry missile Eryx for short-range combat. ERYX is the first third generation infantry missile available on the market. It is the infantry platoon's main weapon for urban combat and can be fired from confined or enclosed spaces. ERYX is a wire-guided weapon, for multi-target fire support by point blank firing, and is effective against tanks and all fortified positions over the whole of its range. It is ideal for rapid intervention forces, special forces or commandos due to the fact that it is compact, simple to operate, discreet and provides high firepower.
ERYX has been in service since 1993. More than 52,000 ammunition have been ordered to date. Customers include Canada, Brazil, France, Malaysia and Norway.
ERYX is a real general-purpose weapon system, with its own maintenance and training equipment. |
